Dr. Juliana Abena Appiah

In the context of RASS I will focus on Faceless Actors and Regional Integration in Africa: The New Disruptive Politics: The study analyzes the rise of anonymous actors who serve as critical disruptors in the pursuit of regional integration in Africa.

University of Ghana, Accra

Juliana Abena Appiah is a Senior Research Fellow and an International Relations Scholar(specializing on Africa’s International Relations) at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD) of the University of Ghana. She studied International Affairs and Diplomacy at the University of Ghana, and the University of Rochester, New York. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2015. Juliana is the coordinator for the master’s in international affairs Programme at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD). She is also an adjunct Fellow at the Centre for European Studies at the University of Ghana and has assisted the Centre in their conferences and seminars over the years.
