Dr. Oheneba Agyenim Boateng

For RASS, I will examine inter-regionalism in Africa, specifically, how, and the extent to which regional organizations in Africa interact among themselves, and the contribution of such interactions on continental integration.

Research fields: International relations, regionalism, African history and politics, humanitarian action

Clark University, Worcester, MA

I am Assistant Professor of Political Science at Clark University in Worcester, MA. Broadly situated in the field of International Relations, my research interests include regionalism, international security, humanitarian action, and African history and politics. My research explores how power dynamics among interacting actors affect their ability to solve some of the most pressing international problems of our time. I am currently completing a monograph on relations between African Union and the United Nations, and how that relationship shapes their ability to address humanitarian crises in Africa.
